Andria Neff is the 2007-2008 Northeast Region Venturing President. She joined Venturing when she turned fourteen. Venturing has presented Andria the opportunity to participate in wide variety of activities and high adventure treks. During her five years in the program, she has served in leadership roles at the crew, council, area, and now, region level.
Andria is a founding member of Venturing Crew 31 of State College, Pennsylvania (chartered by Saint Paul's United Methodist Church) where she served as Crew President for two terms. Andria served as a leader of Juniata Valley Council's Teen Leaders Council, and was the 2005-2006 Northeast Region, Area Four President and 2006-2007 Area Four Vice President of Program. During her two terms on the Area Four cabinet Andria helped plan and conduct the Area Four Venturing Quest.
In 2005, Andria participated in a Kodiak Ranger Quest hosted by the Grand Canyon Council in Flagstaff, Arizona. She then traveled to New Mexico to participate in the Rayado program at Philmont Scout Ranch. Also in 2005, Andria served on staff at the Boy Scout National Jamboree at the Venturing Mine program area. In 2006, Andria lead her crew on a twelve day sea kayaking trip at the Pamlico Sea Base in North Carolina. This past summer Andria worked at the Philmont Scout Ranch as a Ranger.
Andria has planned and participated in many trips with Crew 31. Andria has also been very active in her district and council. She has helped organize many inter-crew events, including trips to Pittsburgh, district Venturing activities, and a Venturing program area at the council camporee. She has served as the master of ceremony at her Council's Volunteer Recognition Dinner, and shared her Venturing experiences at various events, like her district's Good Scout Dinner, and the local United Way.
Andria has earned the Outdoor Bronze Award and the Arts & Hobbies Bronze Award. She was also recognized with the Venturing Leadership Award by the Juniata Valley Council.
Andria graduated from State College Area High School and now attends Penn State University at their Mont Alto campus pursuing an undergraduate degree in Recreation, Park, and Tourism Management.
