Kalla French is the 2009-2010 Southern Region Venturing President. She comes from a family of Scouters and has been involved in the programs since her little brother was a Tiger Cub. Kalla personally became a member of the Boy Scouts of America in 2004, and since then has been a member of Venturing Crew 109 based in Dawsonville, GA. As a member of Crew 109 she has held leadership positions as the Crew Secretary and Crew Chaplin. During her duration as a member of Crew 109, all of her most fulfilling scout experiences have taken place. She has been an essential part of Cub Scout Day Camp every year since 2004. Kalla has also been to Philmont and enjoyed Powderhorn Training in the Northeast Georgia Council. This year Kalla was lucky enough to receive the Venturing Leadership Award for her work within her Council and the establishment of the Northeast Georgia Exploring and Venturing Officer Association. Kalla is also in the process of completing her Bronze and Gold Awards.
