Welcome to 2009! Venturing has officially entered into its second decade. As we set our New Year's Resolutions let us not forget about Scouting. Set yourself a goal to start a new Crew, or Ship, to get new members in your unit, to help guide a youth to a new level of leadership in the Scouting program, or outside of it.
Speaking of reaching new leadership levels, the National Venturing Cabinet would like to congratulate the new National Order of the Arrow Officers:
National Chief: Jack O'Neill
National Vice Chief: Dan Higham
Central Region Chief: Michael Beckman
Northeast Region Chief: Ryan Hay
Southern Region Chief: Mark Norris
Western Region Chief: Dave Harrell
Good luck to all of them in this coming year.
The National Venturing Cabinet members are still hard at work traveling the country, promoting Council VOAs, and Area Venturing President Structures, and developing new program ideas. Come February we will have new reports up on everything they have been up to, but meanwhile check out their newsletter, blogs, and photo logs under their tabs to the left.
Keep up all of your hard work, and enjoy the resources that this website, and the numerous other Scouting websites offer.
Yours in Scouting, Amanda Vogt 2008-2009 National Venturing President
